Société des musées du Québec - Dossiers thématiques

The Dossiers thématiques Web site of the Société des musées du Québec (SMQ) was a collaborative content development platform entirely developed in Drupal. Every year the SMQ discuss subjects that matter to the community. A series of papers and presentations linked to the theme of their annual conference are published in the journal Revue Musées. They wanted the content to be available online, but mostly to have a life after the conference by allowing professionals from the museum community either to comment the published online content or to contribute by presenting their own initiatives. Contributions could contain attachments, hyperlinks, a series of images and videos. Special care had been taken to build the publication workflow since content might come from a large variety of contributors. Unfortunately, the site was closed in 2014 and its content was migrated to the redesigned Web site for professionals.
