UdeM Nouvelles

We are very proud to have contributed to this major TYPO3 project which consisted in the redesign of the news site for Université de Montéal, called UdeM Nouvelles. Many actors were involved in this project who took 2 years to finalize and which is an intitiative of the Department of communications and public relations at UdeM. The frontend development and the content management were done by the Akufen agency. Our contribution was to link with the calendar from Mur mitoyen for event promotions, but more importantly to implement faceted search with Apache Solr. In Summer 2016, we brought technical support and expertise to finalize the project so it can put in production by the IT team at UdeM. On September 12, 2016, we are happy to say: "Mission accomplished!"

A complete description of the project (in French) was made by our client on the news platform. The technology stack is TYPO3 for content management, Sass, jQuery and CoffeeScript for the frontend, Apache Solr for search and Varnish for content cache. For those interested, we made a little video (in French) demonstrating faceted search.
