Réseau CJ
The redesign of Communication-Jeunesse's Web site had for objective to
promote French Canadian youth litterature. The Réseau CJ project
is the first part of a second phase in the web redesign geared
toward a specific target audience: teenagers. The design grid
here is very eclectic and the various sections allow the
site users to express themselves and to exchange with authors or
illustrators.
On a technical level this is a site that conforms to XHTML transitional
with advanced CSS to control layout. The home page, almost entirely
controlled through CSS, is a very good example. In terms of
functionnalities, a password protected blog has been set integrated.
Many JavaScript gadgets have been placed here and there to
make the site more dynamic, always with cross-browser compatibility
in mind.
Artistic direction was done by Jean-Maxime Brais,
layout by Juan Stéphan, XML programming and content management
by Patrick Turmel and Geoffroy O'Donoughue.
Client-side programming was done by Christian Fecteau.
