Canadian Historical Portraits
A site for a virtual exhibit built for the Section des Archives de
la Ville de Montréal. The collection used for the exhibit had more than 3300
portraits of 1500 Canadian historical figures, mostly from the 19th
and 20th century. It was constituted by Aegidius Fauteux in the first
half of the last century. This exhibit represent a valuable research
tool and a virtual image database for all those interested in
Canadian history and its main actors.
On a technical side, the site
conforms to XHTML 1.0 Transitional with presentation controlled through
CSS style sheets. The site also offers a rich navigation with multiple
facets (by geographical region, century or name) on the body of 3300
pictures presented in the exhibit. Graphic design, programming, Flash
animation and layout where all done by our team.
