Museums to Discover

Museums to Discover is the second part of the Observatoire des musées for the Société des musées québécois targeting the general public. The site mission is to promote museum activities throughout Quebec.

On the technical side, a site with many multimedia elements in Flash but also many tools allowing search for institutions, events, and objects in the virtual reserve. The technologies that we used are Flash and dynamic HTML, mySQL database, PHP programming, XML and Perl for the back office. The content management system set in place allows all institutions to manage their contact data but also publish all the events they offer.
